Seal of Biliteracy
The State Seal of Biliteracy is an award designed to celebrate and honor the bilingualism/multilingualism of all of our students. It is awarded to graduating seniors who have demonstrated high levels of achievement in both English and a partner language. The State sets the achievement requirements for both languages and names the assessments that can be used to show proficiency in each. The honor will be noted on the student’s transcripts and/or diploma and some colleges provide credits for Seal recipients.
In Revere Public Schools, all graduating seniors are eligible to apply to attempt to achieve the Seal. Assessments will be provided at no-cost to families. More information on the process will be sent to all families soon.
