GES - Cynthia Bershad

My name is Cynthia Bershad and I am the Portuguese speaking Family Liaison at the Garfield Elementary School.  I was born in Brazil but I graduated from Revere High School. I speak Portuguese and English and I am a Certified Interpreter.  I have lived in Revere for many years with my family and I have two children in the Revere Public Schools.

As someone who grew up in Brazil and now raising my own family in United States, I understand the challenges that families may face trying to learn and adapt when making a new life here. I am so excited to work with families in Revere to help facilitate communication and build relationships between Garfield Elementary School, students, and families.  Our community is stronger when we work together.  The success and wellbeing of our students is vital for their future and the future of our community.
