Language Assessment Office

When registering in Revere Public Schools, all families complete a Home Language Survey that details the language(s) used in the home. For any family who indicates a language other than English is spoken and used in the home or by the child, the child is required to be screened in English. Depending on the age and grade level of the child, the following assessments will be used:
 
Pre-Kindergarten: DESE Pre-K Screener
Kindergarten and 1st semester Grade 1: WIDA Kindergarten Screener
2nd semester Grade 1-Grade 12: WIDA Screener Online
 
After the test, families will speak with the Language Assessment Coordinator about their child's results and program options.
