Congratulations to the Boys’ and Girls’ indoor track teams. On 2/2 Friday night, both teams won the GBL League Championship meet! For the Boys’, JV Cunha set a new school record in the 600 meters, Allen Hou won the 55 meter dash, Richard Vilme (VILL-MAY) won the high jump, and Youness Chahid scored a team-high 16.5 points. For the girls, Liv Yuong scored 30 of the team’s 106 points winning the high jump, long jump, and 55 meter hurdles. Gemma Stamatopoulos contributed 26 points winning two events and Olivia Rupp was the girl’s 1-mile winner. Congratulations to both teams on their victories!
Congratulations to the Boys’ Track 4 x 200 (4 by 200) Meter Relay team for setting a new school record. Medy Bellemsieh, Oliver Escobar, Jeremy X, and JV Cunha broke the record which was set back in 2012. In addition, at the meet, JV Cunha won the 600 Meters and Isaiah DeCrosta finished 2nd in the 55 Meter Hurdles.
