American Education Week

Dear Revere Community Members,

Revere Public Schools will be celebrating American Education Week (AEW), taking place from November 13th to 17th, 2023. American Education Week is a great time to honor our students’ daily work and accomplishments. It also serves as a time when we can recognize the dedication, expertise, and guidance that our students receive from our incredible teachers, administrators, and all RPS staff members.

I believe that the efforts of our staff have made the Revere Public Schools shine. Embracing our 4 R’s—Rigor, Relevance, Relationships and Resilience—our educators have continued to create and facilitate innovative learning experiences for our students, who have consistently achieved at the highest levels of urban schools throughout the state. I am confident that our continued dedication and collaboration will help us move further along this path of student success.

Our greatest allies in this work, particularly in terms of closing achievement gaps, are our family and community members who work alongside us. Together, we have embraced our 4R’s concept in order to comprehensively support our students with their learning. As we increase the number of caregivers and local leaders collaborating with our district, we increase student achievement.

We invite school visits in celebration of American Education Week so that all community members can see our schools in action. Every school will be offering specialized programs and demonstrations specifically designed for AEW visitors. In addition to visiting classrooms and teachers during AEW, we remind parents that we have designated certain afternoons and evenings in November and December for individual conferences regarding your child’s academic and social-emotional progress.

Individual visitation schedules for each school, prepared by the principals and teachers, will make it possible for you to visit without interrupting or altering the daily classroom procedure. The schedule for classroom visitations is attached to this letter. We hope that you will be able to join us.

Yours very truly,
