Multilingual Learners Programs

Revere Public Schools educate our Multilingual Learners through a Sheltered English Immersion Model. In this model, students receive both Sheltered Content Instruction (SCI) from a licensed content-area teacher who has also received their SEI Endorsement AND English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction from a licensed ESL teacher. Both teachers collaborate to support the linguistic development of the child while addressing grade-level standards. Please see the graphic below and the Guidance Document from DESE to learn more.
